When choosing a theme, make sure it performs well. To that end, it often makes sense to stay away from all-in-one themes that are loaded with features and instead go for a theme that is specialized for your particular purpose. Hey there, the mobile-friendliness test checks whether your site fulfills all the technical requirements for being mobile accessible. It does not make any calls about whether your design is good. What do you mean by “messed up”? It is normal that the mobile design looks quite different than what you see on desktop. That is just due to the space constraints on smaller screens. However, it is different if your site becomes unusable. In that case, you might have to take action.
